The Amiable high society and influential woman, Chief Mrs Adunni Bankole, popularly called 'Chief Mrs', the Iyalode of Gbagura is dead. The sad news broke this morning, which is supposed to be her daughter's wedding day.
She would have clocked 56 on the 29th of March 2015.
The late Adunni Bankole trained as a journalist. She worked as a reporter with Radio OYO in Ibadan, went to the UK to study Public Relations, practised a bit and later veered into business. A woman of many parts, she belonged to various charity boards, a peace ambassador and recently graduated from a Bible school. A journalist delight, she was popular for being highly accessible and would open her doors for any journalist willingly.
The ex wife of Ogun State People's Democratic Party chieftain, Chief Alani Bankole, and the step mother of ex-House of Representatives Speaker, Dimeji Bankole is survived by four children.
