All roads led to Ile Ife earlier today, 7th December as the who is who in Nigeria turned up for the coronation of the youthful and well loved new Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi.

In attendance are the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, and the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki and about 25 Governors and key National Assembly members.

Today has been declared a public holiday in Ile Ife to allow residents of the town to witness the historic presentation of the staff of office.
About 1,000 security personnel have been deployed to provide full and adequate security at the event. The Police Command assured that all arrangements have been made to make the day free of any social ills. Local vigilante are also allowed to complement other security agents.

To commemorate the event, a multi-billion naira resort named Ife Grand Resorts and Leisure was unveiled recently. It is situated by the Ile Ife Steel Rolling Mill.
