Kensington Palace throws its gates open this evening to showcase the Royal Wardrobe. It features 21 couture dresses from three royals' wardrobes. The theme is to exhibit the fashion sense of the Royal ladies through the years and to establish the fact that they are global fashion trendsetters. Right from Queen Elizabeth II to her younger sister, Princess Margaret, through to the famous Princess Diana. Each one of them made their own global style statement in Britain and beyond.
Princess Margaret was looked up to as one of the foremost fashionistas in the Swinging London fashion scene of the 1960s through to 1970s, and Princess Diana progressed towards a more sophisticated and glam look through the 1990s.
