Nigerian Cross Over Music King, Rotimi Martins, popularly known as Alariwo Of Africa, the crooner of Nigerian Household songs of the 90s, 'Yawa Go Gas' and 'Boju Boju' clocked 46 yesterday, 4th September. He decided to spend the day quietly with family and close friends. To him, it was a day to reflect and thank God for keeping him alive. The Delta State born entertainer, who has been in the Nigerian entertainment industry for almost two decades has a lot to thank God for. To him, it was a miracle that he is still alive.
He escaped death by whiskers in July when he was attacked by armed robbers who shot him, which led to three bullets being removed from his back. Now back on his feet and vibrant again, he believes God saved him for a purpose.
He turned down friends who wanted to host him to an elaborate party to celebrate his birthday. His desire was to have a quiet time and give thanks to God. He however gathered few friends that mattered to him to spend the evening with him at his sister's house in Walthamstow, East London.
Lately, Alariwo is distributing the collabo video he did with Pasuma and Lord of Ajasa to entertainment promoters and directing the video of the new talent he just discovered, his nephew, Tobz who he claims is the new kid on the block.
