BOKO HARAM RELEASES CHIBOK GIRLS

News broke this evening that an undisclosed number of the Chibok school girls abducted in April have been released by their abductors.

Reports say two Toyota Hiace buses with the girls inside were driven into the Maimalari Barracks in Maiduguri, Borno State, this evening as confirmed by Defence Spokesperson Chris Olukolade.

Yesterday, the Nigerian authorities and the Boko Haram sect responsible for the abduction agreed on the release of all 219 Chibok girls in exchange for 18 sect commanders currently in detention. The decision was allegedly made after months of negotiation held with the group regarding the issue.

Facts yet to be confirmed at the time of report.
